Lhaovo Theology

Lhaovo are animist before western missionary came to the region. They practice spiritual in worship to the Yui ( Spirit ). When Christianity came to Northern Myanmar, in early 19th Century most Lhaovo became Christian. That's one huge progress for Lhaovo. Unfortunately Lhaovo had to offer their language and identity to the Christianity in return, which mean they have to speak Jingpho language in order to worship Christian God. Until 1960 Lhaovo do not encounter any sort of problem in term of religion, but after 1960 they became to aware that they have their own language to communicate the God that they are worshipping.
