Lhaovo , one the major race in Myanmar(Burma) also known as Kachins are inhabitants of Northern and North Eastern parts of the country. They used to worship Spirits known as (yui) in Lhaovo. In the early 19th century Western Missionary came to northern Burma and evangelized the native people there , along with others groups Lhaovo also became Christians. Nowadays almost 97% are still practice and belief in Christianity piously.
They have their own language , customs and way of harmony living with other communities around them. In early 1960s most of Lhaovo elders and educated youths were started for their own literature program and established Lhaovo literature and culture Committee. Before this period several struggles have been strike for gaining literature but wasn't got good result.
Today they have their own Bible Translation and Churches worship in Lhaovo native language. Lhaovo Pastors and many community Leaders has been emerged in the last two decades. They are leading the whole Lhaovo to be step up to more modernized , educated and civilized in order to live in this global village.
