Today is Mothers Day in UK, as a Church Southall Baptist Church celebrate Mothers Day by allowing a Woman minister to deliver a sermon. The sermon was about Exodus 3 , when Moses was called by God to bring the people of Israel from the Babylon, where they were enslaved by the Egyptians.

She talked about having confidence in God, and know who you are, who your master is and what he wants you to do. Do not give excuses nor dismay or fear because God is going to be with you and guide you, give you the wisdom that you need in order to perform the task that He gave you. Finally, she talked about her difficulties to pronounce English accurately, she encouraged the members of the Church by giving her own weakness about tongue problem that she has and say even she can serve the Lord with half-tongued, Why are we not able to speak for God with strong and healthy tongues.

She gave a very good and funny joke about a Srilankan guy who don't speak English much trying to buy some Chicken in the super-market. When he was unable to find chicken and wondering, a sale assistant came to him and asked him what was he actually looking for. He told her to stop questioning and pick up an egg in front of him and said '' Where is the mother?''. So the sale assistant know he is looking for chicken and showed him the Chicken.

Diamond Jubilee Celebration

I am glad to report you all that we Lhaovo Baptist Churches from north-eastern Shan State are celebrating our Diamond Jubilee to mark the 75th anniversary of receiving the Gospel in the region. In March 23-25 at GangMeing'' village Kunlone Township all participants are wearing their traditional dresses in uniform lining up for the traditional dance called Zam.

Leaders from Lhaovo Churches around the country, various Christian denominations and Non-Profit Organizations have attended the ceremony with joy and honour. I will update the latest footage once I get it. God Bless You All.

Lhaovo Kachin

The voice of Lhaovo as Kachin has been in silenced for decades because of Jingpho, so called Kachin. There are six/seven Kachins group within Kachin family. As Jingpho has been the dominant group over the other groups, majority group has been losing their identity as Kachins for years now. In 21st Century, with the rediscovery of self identity and dignity, all Kachins are back to the road of promoting their respective language and identity.

By doing so, as Kachin family we have to bear in mind that we are brothers and sisters, we share our history, region, land, cultural, tradition, religion and political aspects, so I would personally reminded that We as Kachins have to grow together in respective events together with mutual respect and understanding. Dialects of Kachins are Jingpho, Ravang, Lisu, Zaiwa, Lacid' and Lhaovo including Nung in latter days. True brother won't let his his brother left behind!

Tonight I found out there are so many Lhaovo internet user who use the facebook social network. Its really good to know that Lhaovo are not left behind in IT though less people are able to access to the internet.

My message to the Lhaovo internet user is '' please promote your identity as Lhaovo by any mean and as much as you can''. Why do I say like this? because we are just a few handful people, if we don't use our language and we don't upgrade our identity who else will bother about us?. Nowadays the world has become global to glocal, no matter where we are, we can contact and communicate each other quiet easily via email and social network.

I would suggest one of us can create a group over youtube or facebook or even gmail group to talk about us as Lhaovo. Let's make Lhaovo known every nations that we are God's people who worship him and praise him honour him in the 21st Century.

Lhaovo Churches

Since 1980s Lhaovo people have put great effort in planting and building Lhaovo speaking churches among Lhaovo people. By the Grace of God today, the life of Lhaovo Baptist Churches have come to more than twenty years old, the churches are making progress in building the Kingdom of God. Nevertheless Lhaovo are still need to grow in much more aspects such as communication, multi media, building prjects and organization structure along with administration.

In Waimo, the city next to the capital of Kachin State has been the major city for Lhaovo. The city host the office of Lhaovo Churches Association, Cultural and Literature Association. In Shwezet, Myitkyina stand Lhaovo Theological Seminary. We all proud to be Lhaovo and continue to support the building of Lhaovo Churches and community where our people reside.

I would like to invite all Lhaovo on behalf of Lhaovo to join our community and churches in order to maintain our national identity whilst seeking the spiritual enlightenment. God has given us the oppotunity to become as Lhaovo, so let's us adore and worship Him in God given language.
